•Clients will learn new skills around relaxation, paced breathing and cognitive behavioural skills.
​
•Using a combination of teaching, discussion and experiential components clients will learn techniques to self-manage and improve the impact of menopausal symptoms particularly night sweats and hot flushes.
​
•Advantages: No Side effects, stress reduction, help in managing insomnia
Goals: relaxation, paced breathing, stress management, sleep and fatigue management, addressing thoughts and beliefs about the physical symptoms (cognitions), restored sense of control and improved mood.
